Christmas Homework

Notes:
  • Attention: I thought about changing the dates of the speaking test because we need to rehearse a little in class. If there is no objection we could do it January 25 and 30
  • Some people asked me to upload here the grammar charts we use in class and I told them I would upload them during the holidays. This hasn't been possible because I'm redesinging and improving them, also I'm including some new information. Don't worry, you will have the charts here soon.
All the answers must be given in class, not later than Wednesday January 11
  • Writing unit 4.

  • The first term exam consists of five parts: reading, listening, grammar, speaking and writing; each of these parts has a maximum of 20 points, so the exam has a maximum of 100 points and to pass it you must get 65 points. The writing part consists of writing 1 (10 points) and writing 2 (10 poins), on Wednesday we are doing writing 1 and in January we are going to do writing 2.
  • The writing is a letter of about 125 words and you have a limited time of about 30 minutes (no dictionaries or notes are allowed in exams).

Monday 12 December

Note:
  • Some students didn't do the first writing of unit 1 and haven't done the writing of unit 3, either. I remind these students that these writings are part of the "avaluació contínua" and you have to do them if you want to be eligible for this continuous evaluation. Your mark in these home writings doesn't count but they are not optional, they are obligatory for the continuous evaluation. I will give these students who haven't done the writings until December 21 to do it; otherwise, you will have to do the final exam.
  • The listenings and/or videos that you will find here on the blog will also be part of the continuous evaluation and you will have to give me your answers in class for these activities (on a piece of paper). As usual you will have here on the blog the answers to the listenings a few days later but you will have to give me first your answers in class. Don't worry if you find them easy, they will be increasing in difficulty. Again while your mark won't count the listenings are not optional but part of the continuous evaluation.
  • In case you need to send me your writings or listenings my email address is fclaramu@xtec.cat
