COURSE MARKS OF THE CONTINUOUS EVALUATION WILL BE GIVEN
- Students who have passed the continuous evaluation have finished the year
- Students who have failed the continuous evaluation must sit a final exam (you have to pass this exam to advance to the next course)
- To prepare for the exam follow the tips on the previous post
- The speaking part of the exam will take place 11 and 13 June. The exact day and time for each student will be determined later.

Exam preparation tips
- Grammar summaries at the end of the book, pages 126-143 (also vocabulary pages from 145-153)
- Charts (tables) about grammar points shown in class (for example comparatives, modals, conditionals, etc)
- Grammar information that you will find in some photocopies (for example present perfect vs. simple past, verb patterns, quantifiers, the passive, etc)
- Four documents uploaded here on the blog (verb + preposition, preposition + gerund, indefinite pronouns and language points; you will find them on post April 23 and May 9). You may also review some documents posted for the first term exam about questions and question tags.
- List of irregular verbs (the list on the book is enough)
- It is not necessary to review any exercise in the book or in the photocopies.
- There is no specific preparation for the listening and reading part.
- For the speaking part you can check any speaking activity from units 5 to 8 as well as the practical English section at the end of each unit (Mark and Allie videos). You can rehearse on your own or preferably with a partner.

Notes:
Each part has a maximum of twenty points. The grammar (50 items) will take 50 minutes, the listening (2 audios and a video) will last approximately 25 minutes, and the reading (3 short texts) will take 40 minutes. These three parts of the exam account for 60 points; for the other 40 points (writing and speaking) you have already your mark.
The grammar part of the exam covers units 1-4 plus the Past Perfect in unit 9

The grammar (50 items) will take 50 minutes, the listening (2 audios and a video) will last approximately 25 minutes, and the reading (3 short texts) will take 40 minutes. These three parts of the exam account for 60 points; for the other 40 points (writing and speaking) you have already your mark.
The grammar part of the exam covers units 1-4 plus the Past Perfect in unit 9
To study for the exam use the charts, your own notes, the exercises we've done and the information at the end of the book

Speaking Exams
Homework Monday 23 January: student's book page 135, 5C; Workbook pages 44 and 45. We are going to do an speaking exam practice this Monday as a rehearsal for the oral test on the 25 and 30
