Test: use of language, listening and reading

Exam preparation tips
  • Grammar summaries at the end of the book, pages 126-143 (also vocabulary pages from 145-153)
  • Charts (tables) about grammar points shown in class (for example comparatives, modals, conditionals, etc)
  • Grammar information that you will find in some photocopies (for example present perfect vs. simple past, verb patterns, quantifiers, the passive, etc)
  • Four documents uploaded here on the blog (verb + preposition, preposition + gerund, indefinite pronouns and language points; you will find them on post April 23 and May 9). You may also review some documents posted for the first term exam about questions and question tags.
  • List of irregular verbs (the list on the book is enough)

  • It is not necessary to review any exercise in the book or in the photocopies.
  • There is no specific preparation for the listening and reading part.
  • For the speaking part you can check any speaking activity from units 5 to 8 as well as the practical English section at the end of each unit (Mark and Allie videos). You can rehearse on your own or preferably with a partner.
